Facilities:

Te Tahawai Marae offers sleeping accommodation for up to 35 people.

Sleeping arrangements are traditional i.e.

Sleeping on mattresses against the wall.
Mattresses, sheets, pillows and pillow slips are provided.

The kitchen allows for self-catering. It has gas cook tops and ovens, large stainless steel cooking bench and sinks, crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery. A large chiller is available.

The dining room has seating for up to maximum 60.

Separate men and women’s toilets are equipped with washbasins and shower facilities.

Toiletries
Towels
Cleaning products and large rubbish bags
Blankets

Overnight Hire for organizations wishing to use the marae for seminar purposes as well as over-night accommodation.

Groups under 10 $200.00 nz per night

Booking fee/bond payable on confirmation must be made to confirm your request for accommodation. Payment should be made as soon as possible and no less than 1 month prior to arrival.
Full payment of your accommodation request must be paid prior to your booking.
Overseas guests. Please provide some form of identification.

Conditions of hire:

Booking fee $57.50 (incl gst non-refundable) to secure your booking.

A bond is required, which is fully refunded once the marae has been inspected after your departure. Please discuss Bond rate on booking.

The bond is used to:

replace breakages or items missing.
employ cleaners if the marae requires more than maintenance cleaning.

Prior to arrival at the Marae, 50% of the total charge, including bond must be paid to Te Tahawai Marae Komiti (Inc) by cheque or online banking.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellation up to 14 days prior to the visit; Full refund less $200.00 administration fee.
Cancellation within 14 days prior to the visit; Nil refund.
